Free Microchip with Every Cat and Dog Primary Vaccination
We offer a FREE Microchipping service with the primary vaccination of your pet!
Microchipping is currently the most effective method of pet identification and is essential if you will be travelling abroad and taking your pet with you. Or, if your pet should go missing and is found and taken to the nearest vets, police station, dog warden or RSPCA, they will be immediately scanned to see if they have a microchip identification number. A short phone call to the Pet Log database will provide the owner contact details and your pet will be quickly reunited with you.
Currently there is much debate about introducing compulsory microchipping for pets (particularly for dogs in place of the old 'Dog licence') so it makes sense to have the microchipping done at the early stages of your pet's life.
Microchipping involves the insertion of the chip in the fleshy area at the back of the neck. The microchip only needs to be inserted once in the pet's lifetime and will give peace of mind to you and your family.
If you move house, change your contact details, or even change ownership, you can easily update the information on the database by going online or phoning the Pet Log company direct.

Pet Passports for Travel Abroad
If you are taking your animal abroad you will need a Pet Passport like this one.
Your pet must be microchipped and vaccinated against rabies. These details
must be added to the pet passport by a Government registered vet.
If you will be bringing your pet back into the UK it will need a blood test 30
days or more after the rabies vaccination with a satisfactory result. The animal
will not be allowed back into the UK until 6 months from the result of the blood test.
It will also need to be treated for ticks and tapeworms with an approved product by a vet
in the country from which you are returning
If your pet has not been blood tested in the UK before departure it will not be allowed back into the UK unless it has been blood tested in the country from which you are returning.
These regulations only apply to EU countries, although some countries outside Europe have applied for similar status.
